Worried about making huge leaps in your levels of health, wealth and happiness? Concerned that you might finally get it together, break out of that rut, escape the rat-race and start enjoying a life of blissful abundance and wellbeing?
If a million people, individually, say “there’s not much I can do, my contribution won’t make a difference” then, of course, they’re right. But if a million people say “I’ll do what I can, it may not be much but I’ll do it anyway” then you have a force so powerful that governments and corporations take notice and positive change is possible.
You do not have to save the world, you just have to do your bit knowing that, however insignificant it may seem at the time, you are part of the unfolding perfection of the universe. You have a part to play, and there are no bit parts, so play it joyfully.
Or how to deal with the fact that your life doesn’t suck any more!
It’s true, but it seems like a strange thing to say; living in a constant state of joy, ease, bliss, peace, love, harmony and abundance can take a bit of getting used to!
The problem, I think, is that ego, the personality, for many of us is so used to dealing with quite the opposite of this that, when things take a dramatic turn for the better, it starts to get worried. Far from embracing and enjoying this new emotional wellbeing, it pines for the old and familiar, and will try to take us back there to ease its discomfort!
Have you? Have you ever tried to do anything and failed? Have you ever been told that you’ve failed, or told there’s no point in you trying? Ever been put down, cast aside, dropped, dismissed or abandoned? Ever felt that you weren’t good enough? Have you? Have you ever felt that you’re not good enough?
A man traveling across a field encountered a tiger. He fled, the tiger after him. Coming to a precipice, he caught hold of the root of a wild vine and swung himself over the edge.
The tiger sniffed at him from above. Trembling, the man looked down to where, far below, another tiger was waiting to eat him. Only the vine sustained him.
Two mice, one white and one black, little by little started to gnaw away the vine. The man then saw a luscious strawberry near him. Grasping the vine with one hand, he plucked the strawberry with the other.
How sweet it tasted.
Remember that your life is not in the past, regretting your decisions and perceived mistakes. And life is not in the future, fearing what might be or putting off enjoyment to ‘someday when…’. No, life is now. Living is now. Happiness, joy, love, bliss – all now, in this moment.
So stop to smell the roses, enjoy the beautiful sunsets, hear the music. Enjoy all the little moments. There are no ordinary moments, but you have to be here, present, now to enjoy them. And, of course, if you see strawberries – stop, enjoy, now, take a minute to forget about your tigers. Sweet 🙂
What is it you dream of doing? What excites you, inspires you, lights your fire, ignites your passion? What do you enjoy? What are you brilliant at? Yes you are! Everyone is brilliant at something, and this is no time for false modesty. Maybe it’s hidden, supressed, buried under the cares and worries of years of neglect. But it’s there, like a bright shining star, somewhere deep within you, and shine it will – you will – if you will only allow it. Your unique blend of skills, talents and passions are a gift, your gift, and when you use them you give joy and inspiration to all who witness it. Why do we share videos like this? To inspire. To INSPIRE. Am I suggesting you do this? No. Im suggesting you do what you dream of doing. Continue reading Sand Dancer
How curious that, on the very day I was planning to write a blog post about luck and synchronicity, I happened to find Simple Dude’s blog, I spotted the S30P logo, clicked through and saw that this week’s writing prompt was ‘Serendipity’! Clearly a case of serendipity in action. Or is it? How else would you explain it? Well, that depends on your definition of Serendipity. Continue reading Serendipity? No such thing!
It’s a funny thing, but when you go through life being unreasonably happy, full of joy and positivity, with a big smile on your face and not a bad word to say about anything or anybody, some people are going to look at you like you’re a bit weird. Actually, not that funny, it’s rather sad, but it seems to be true. Here’s an example… Continue reading Be Happy – regardless!
